New Delhi :-40th Matri Shree Media Awards for the Journalists have been announced today. Priyanka Chopra starrer film Mary Kom has been announced as the best feature film. The Convener of Matri Shree Media Award Committee and editor of Matreshwar Shri Dinesh Sharma issued list of the Journalists selected by the committee for the 40th year awards. After the survey conducted by the members of selection committee S.Shri Sukhbir Sharan Aggarwal, Harish Chopra, Pravindra Sharda, Yogesh Chhabra, Harbansh Dankal, Shrikant Mishra, Ramesh Bajaj, Ashok Aggarwal and Vishal Rana the selected names are following:
Senior Journalist Shri Sanjay Anand from news agency PTI, Sr. Sub Editor of Bhasha Shri Ajay Srivastava, UNI’s Ms. Rinku Bahera & Univarta’s Ms. Preeti Kannojiya and Nav Bharat Times’s Shri Sehnawaz Malik, Punjab Kesari Delhi’s Young Director Shri Aditya Narayan Chopra besides Sadhna TV Channel’s young Director Shri Gaurav Gupta. Former MLA Shri Shyam Lal Garg, has also been selected in Social Service category. There was also unanimous decision on the names of Shri Anurag Mishra from Dainik Hindustan, Shri Pawan Kumar from Amar Ujala, Shri Ajay Nethani from Rashtiya Sahara, Shri Mekhala Gupta from Sandhya Times, senior Journalist Dr. Arvind Kumar from English Daily SAR Economist.
Besides Shri Shahbaz Khan Photographer from PTI Kapil Sharma of TV Channel Aajtak, Shri Jitender Chauhan of Total TV Ms. Preet Kiran of Channel One, Dr. Mahender Dubey of Doordarshan, Ms. Lalit Chaturvedi from Aakashvani and Punjabi Channel Chadadi Kalan, Shri Sumit Chaudhary from News Nation, Cameraman Shri Prakash Tiwari from India News and Shri Ravi Singh of IBN were also qualified for Matri Shree Awards.
Shri Dinesh Sharma told that in a function to be organized in Abhishek Cine Complex, Chandni Chowk the Bharat Mata shield and Citation will be presented to the aforesaid Journalists selected for this purpose on 26th April. Former Dy. Prime Minister Shri Lal Krishna Advani will be the Chief Guest. This award is being presented to the Journalists continuously for the last 39 years who are serving Mother India. The objective of presenting Bharat Mata Shield is that one should not forget mother India although he may be in crisis. Chairman of the award committee Shri Sukhbir Sharan Aggarwal and Chairman of the Organizing Committee Yogesh Chhabra and Chairman of the selection committee Harish Chopra, Managing Secretary Shri Ramesh Bajaj, Harbansh Dankal, Srikant Mishra, Ashok Aggarwal, Pravindra Shardaa and Vishal Rana shall present ‘Pen’ the original symbol of Indian Journalism to the Journalists in the aforesaid function.
