New Delhi,Representatives of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre of Taiwan Embassy led by Shri C.K. Tayin on behalf of the ruling party of Taiwanmet BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay today and on behalf of the ruling party of Taiwan, invited delegation of BJP Delhi Pradesh to visit Taiwan. On this occasion, both the leaders exchanged mementoes.
On this occasion, Shri Upadhyay and Shri Tayin discussed about the cultural and political similarities between Taiwan and India. He told Shri Upadhyay that the projects on IT and Communication between the capital of Taiwan and Delhi could be taken up. Recently Taiwan has established cultural exchange centre in Amity and Jindal Universities in NCR Delhi and another cultural centre is going to be established in JLU.
Shri Tayin told Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay that it is a matter of pleasure that when in the year 1999, BJP led Government was formed in India, Shri Narendra Modi visited Taiwan leading a high level delegation of BJP as Organizational General Secretary and now after formation of his Government this year, Taiwan Government has established a steel plant at the cost of 120 crore rupees in Gujarat. Besides this, Taiwan Government has approved heavy investment in various states of India.
Shri Tayin praised the Delhi Metro Rail Service and proposed for cooperation in strengthening the cleanliness and sanitation system of Municipal Corporations on behalf of Taipei city administration. He suggested construction of multi level parking under the parks of Delhi and proposed cooperation in it. It may be recalled that Shri Satish Upadhyay is the Chairman of SDMC Standing Committee and Shri Tayin also talked to him in this capacity.
