International Food and Hospitality Fair AAHAR 2015,

New  Delhi.:-One of the largest specialised B2B events of its kind in South-Asia, the 30th edition AAHAR 2015, the International Food and Hospitality Fair will  be  inaugurated  by  Hon’ble  Union  Minister  of  Food  Processing  Industries,   Smt.  Harsimrat  Kaur Badal   on  March10, 2015 at   Pragati Maidan,  New  Delhi.Surpassing  all  previous  records in  terms  of  participation and  area  booked, over 807 leading  companies  from  India  and  overseas  are  taking  part in the fair this year. The fair covers 22, 893 sq.mtrs. net display area  against  21, 318 sq.mtrs,  last year. Foreign participation is from 22 countries from Austria, Afghanistan, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Tunisia, Thailand and USA.  Japan, Korea, Denmark, Afghanistan, Tunisia and Kyrgyzstan are new entrant.

Apart from having a focus on ‘Make in India’ campaign, launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, the fair intends to empower the small scale sector which is the backbone of Indian economy due to its inherent ability to promote exports and generate employment opportunities.Approved by the UFI, this annual event of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) is   being organised with the support of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA) and apex industry associations. These include Association of Resource Companies  for the  Hospitality  Industry of India (ARCHII),  Hotel &  Restaurant

Manufacturer’s Association of India (HOTREMAI), All India Food Processors’ Association (AIFPA), Forum of Indian Food Imports (FIFI) and Food & Hospitality Support Association of India (FHSAI).  fair  has   been  organised  into  two  segments,  namely, ‘Food  India’  on  food, processed foods  and  beverages, while  ‘Hospitality  India’  is  focused  on  hotel &  restaurant  equipments and  supplies.  The display profile will be segregated into different sectors including House Keeping (Hall 6, 7 ABC & 7FGH), Machinery Equipment (Hall 7D, 7E, 8-12A & 14) and Food Ingredients & Additives (Hall 15 & 18).

Apart from the “Culinary Art India”, a live competitions of over 300 chefs,   seminars on ‘Challenges-food processing Industry’, ‘Organic Food Scenario & obstacles’ and ‘Agriculture related topics by Government of Poland’ are also scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the fair.Aahar 2015 (March 10-14) will open from 10.00 am. to 6.00 pm. for business visitors, while the general public can visit the fair from 2.00 pm. to 6.00 pm., on the last day.  Mobile App has been introduced for convenience of the visitors and participants.
